Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. George Smoot in The Netherlands
On June 18, 2009, Ithaka Science Center welcomed Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. George Smoot to the POVO Conference 'Talent Development in Science and Technology', in Venlo. The collaborating primary and secondary education schools, Ithaka Science Center, Fontys PABO Limburg and BCO-onderwijsadvies presented the results of the three year long project and distinguished speakers addressed science in the class room.
Key note speaker, Prof. Dr. George Smoot spoke about the importance of early exposure to science and the use of Astronomy as a tool for science education.
